Subject: Two crews of 404 Squadron of the Royal Canadian Air Force prepare to sortie from their base in Wyck, Scotland against German shipping in the North Sea, circa August 1944. The aircraft is the Bristol Beaufighter TF.Mk XC, the most heavily armed fighter deployed by any airforce during WWII. 404 was the sole Canadian unit to operate this type.
